Tonight’s Games: 3/30

With the Rangers magic number sitting at 13 (any combination of 13 points gained by the Rangers or lost by the Panthers), and the Rangers jockeying for a better playoff seeding, every game in the East counts. Here are tonight’s games:

  • Florida at Buffalo: If the Sabres win in regulation, the magic number drops to 11.
  • Ottawa at Carolina: Let’s hope the hot streak for Ottawa continues, a 5/6 seed sounds better than a 7/8 seed.
  • Calgary at Pittsburgh: See above.

That’s it for the meaningful games tonight (as far as the Rangers go). The Calgary/Pittsburgh game is on the NHL Network if you get it.

    From last night:

It took 4 3rd period goals for the Sabres to storm back and beat Florida, so the magic number is 11.

The Pens and ‘Canes however won.
