I agree Orr was unplayable two years ago and made huge strides last year. He had a hell of a game nailing cindy and rattling his cage early in the year and went toe to toe with brashear also showed he was a top fighter. It seemed that he wanted to be a leaf though.

I agree that Brashear is a necessity. I also want some toughness right on the ice to help Gabby – I’d like to see Avery on the 1st line.

In all fairness, Orr made huge improvements last year in his skating and that improvement got him his $4 million from Toronto.

But yea, Brashear is a total upgrade over Orr.

Orr was a waste …worst skater in the history of the lg.

Brash…as much as we hated him is a major upgrade in the hockey and goon depts.

True, but by the time Brashear signed, Gaborik had already received his recruiting package from Sather and Co. You also have to assume there was a Plan B somewhere. Either way, with Orr getting 4 years (?!?!) from Toronto, they needed someone to fight Pronger.

I definitely agree, but Brashear was signed before Gaborik. If Gabs headed somewhere else, we might be singing a different tune.
