Callahan named alternate captain
Via Steve Zipay, Ryan Callahan has been named the sole alternate captain for the time being. John Tortorella will apparently wait to see if another candidate emerges, presumably giving them the second A.
Congrats to Cally, good to see his hard work didn’t go unnoticed.

On a serious note, its great to see the young guys taking on leadership roles on the team. Lets hope he builds on last year. Anyone think 30 goals is in the cards? I think its a stretch but not unrealistic.
I’m never a fan of just one Alt, or no captain, or a rotating captian’s patch.
Minute detail, yes, but it urks me.
On a better note, love that Cally got an A. He deserves it, and let’s hope he wears it for a long time.
