Game 19: Rangers vs Thrashers
Our Blueshirts return after a long break to face the Atlanta Kovalchuk’s Thrashers. This is also the long awaited return of Nik Antropov. With all the injuries, here are the expected lines:
Enver Lisin-Vinny Prospal-Marian Gaborik
Christopher Higgins-Artem Anisimov-Ales Kotalik
Sean Avery-Brian Boyle-Ryan Callahan
Donald Brashear, Aaron Voros, Dane Byers
It’s obviously not your ideal lineup, though I am interested to see how Anisimov responds to more playing time. Of course, the D-pairings remain the same. Lundqvist should be in goal.
Ilya Kovalchuk is a game time decision, though all signs point to him playing. The key to beating Atlanta is stopping Ilya–a tall task. This will be a good test for our Rangers, to see how they endure the injury storm.
Use this as your open thread. Watch, discuss, have fun. I’ll be out getting Chinese food, but I’ll be sure to join you. Let’s Go Rangers!

Back from Chinese (if you are curious, went with cold sesame noodles and General Tso’s Chicken. Quick aside: What did General Tso do to get a chicken dish named after him? i digress) and saw Gabby score. Man, is he good or what?
