Game 24: Rangers At Florida

Happy Thanksgiving eve! After a rousing win against the Jackets, the Rangers are back at work.

OPPONENT: Florida Panthers

RECORD: 10-9-3

LEADING SCORER: Nathan Horton, checking in at 19 points.

GOALIE: Tomas Vokoun, he of the 2.72 GAA and a .923 save percentage

GAME TIME: 7 PM, MSG

RANGERS LINES: This is going on the assumption that Ales Kotalik will be out:

Chris Higgins-Vinny Prospal-Marian Gaborik
Sean Avery-Artem Anisimov-P.A. Parenteau
Enver Lisin-Chris Drury-Ryan Callahan
Donald Brashear-Brian Boyle-Aaron Voros

D-pairs are the same. We should see Hank in net.

STATE OF THE BLUESHIRTS: All is well right now in Ranger-land. They played one of their best games of the year against Columbus. But we must remember that is one game. The Rangers need to play games like that more often. The good thing is Sean Avery had his best game of the year. So did Artem Anisimov. I thought Chris Higgins fit really well with Gaborik and Prospal. It’ll also be interesting to see how Drury plays. Will he be rusty? And if Kotalik does not play, who takes the hard shot from the point? Do they move Gaborik back there? Drury?

CRAZY THOUGHT: Drury scores in his first game back.

ON THE iPOD: Aja, by Steely Dan (BTW, saw them in concert this summer, at Beacon Theater. What an unbelievable concert. They played the Aja album all the way through, plus some classics. So good)

FINAL PREDICTION: Rangers 2, Panthers 0

Last game we had a BSB record with 108 comments. First, thank you. It’s awesome to see that kind of involvement and discussion. So, watch, discuss, have fun. Who knows? Maybe we’ll set a new BSB record. But most importantly, LET’S GO RANGERS!!!!!

game time is 730, not 7. my bad. and what the hell is a “body injury”. Amazing how hockey teams get away with that.

I’ll go out there and say it, I hate Avery. He gives me nothing, NOTHING. He is not lovable and not spectacular by any means. He’s really not even hot. Come on man.

One of the best wins of the year. Rosy looked his best. Defense as a whole was great. They played with 5 D for most of the game, 4 D for the last 15 minutes! What a game.
