Schneider Placed On Waivers
Dave mentioned that Mathieu Schneider was being shopped. Well, he was placed on waivers today. Schneider is not the physical defenseman the Rangers need. But, he’s a good puck mover, and a much better option for the point than Kotalik on the Power Play. It’s worth taking a look at. In addition, the Predators placed Dave Scatchard on waivers. With the Prospal injury, Scatchard might be a nice alternative. He’s 6-3, 210. Go to the net, maybe he can score some goals.

I think Schneider (beng familiar with NYC) would be a nice addition without giving anything up. Scratchard had a trial with NY – via Hartford – a season or two back and couldnt impress to get a deal. He’s not the answer, even if we do need alot more size.
We definitely need to make a move or two though. Another D and ideally size for the roster.

I will be surprised if Schneider passes through waivers, and even more surprised if he passes through re-entry waivers.
