Souray For Rozsival?
According to Pierre LeBrun, the Rangers are interested in Oilers defenseman Sheldon Souray. To make it work financially, the Rangers would send Rosy or Redden (but most likely, Rozsival). Souray is 3-9-12 on the year, but he’s also on the Oilers, and quite frankly, they suck. That’s why the -15 isn’t too alarming. I’ve always liked Souray. He’s got a booming slap shot, and a change of scenery would do him well. Would you do this deal?

Pass. You make trades to improve the team, not to shift sideways. Souray is washed up.

Why trade one headache for another. Roszival has a booming slapshot too, when he uses it, and he is far less often injured. I would have taken Souray 4 years ago, but not now.

In a heartbeat. Sather must make Souray sign in blood that he won’t pussy out when he gets here. I don’t want him just for his pretty face. I want him to show some sack when he gets here, slear the crease and take qb the powerplay.

2 years @ $5.4 million cap hit. More than Rozsival.
