Gaborik Skates at Practice

As per Jim Cerny, Marian Gaborik was skating at practice today, and was not wearing a non-contact jersey. Gaborik expects to play this weekend against Washington and Buffalo.

Even though the Rangers managed to put up eight goals in two games without Gaborik, they will need all they help they can get to make the playoffs. By my estimates, they will need another 27 points in the remaining 18 games to make the playoffs. That’s a tall order, and Gaborik’s return will help.

If Gaborik plays, then you can bet that Enver Lisin, who was waived on Tuesday, will be the odd man out.

Unfortunately, we’re in a rock and a hard place b/c you want Gaborik back for the playoff race but you don’t want to rush him. It would be such a problem if he wasn’t the focal point of our offense. Come on, Jokinen.
