Game 66: Rangers at Devils
This may be the biggest day of the Rangers year. For one, it’s a must-win game. Lose this game, especially in regulation, and your playoff picture is looking cloudy. And two, it’s my birthday. Rangers wouldn’t want to lose a game on my birthday. It wouldn’t be good.
OPPONENT: Devils
RECORD: 28-23-3
LEADING SCORER: Zach Parise, 30-35-65
GOALIE: Martin Brodeur, 2.37 GAA and a .910 save percentage
RANGERS LINES:
Prospal-Christensen-Gaborik
Dubinsky-Jokinen-Callahan
Avery-Anisimov-Drury
Prust-Boyle-Shelley
Hank in net.
STATE OF THE BLUESHIRTS: Not great. Bad loss against Buffalo. Loss three in a row–although two they got points in. Still, they need two points. I don’t care if you need to go to OT, or a shootout. Need to get two points. Hank needs to be huge. Gaborik playing well would be nice. Someone needs to step up. Someone. Anyone.
CRAZY THOUGHT: Hank gets a shutout
ON THE iPOD: Just Friends (Sunny), Musiq Soulchild
FINAL PREDICTION: Rangers 3, Devils 0
So, watch, discuss, have fun. LET’S GO RANGERS!!!!

I’m a Ranger fan living in the state of hockey, Minnesota. Paul Martin is from the town I presently live in (Elk River) I have been a fan of the blueshirts since I was a kid. Grew up listening to the Big Whistle, living on east 97 st. & Madison AVE. I’ve been watching this team every nite they are on the center ice package, and it has been pretty brutal this year. What the hell is going on?? No Passion. No heart. I’m sick and tired of watching Tortalinni blow a gasket on the bench, when somebody f’s up. If these players haven’t learned by now after all the screaming and yelling by this guy all season, they NEVER WILL. It’s time for a change. Get rid of all the coaching staff, Sather included. Time to blow this team up and get folks who wanna play. Ranger fans deserve much better than the product we have had to put up with all season. Guess I gotta pull for the Wild to make the playoffs. It’s a closer shot than the Rangers have this season. I just wanna see hockey into April this year!! Even the Gophers are sucking it up this year. Really not used to seeing that either!! Maybe they are drinking the same koolaid the Rangers are slurping down this year! Whatta pathetic performance this eve.!! But sadly, it’s been this way all season. Hurry up next season (Get well Paul!! We need to see ya back on the ice, not hanging around the arena with your arm in a sling!!)
