Avery Scratched
Sean Avery will be a healthy scratch tonight. Don’t know who is replacing him in the lineup Enver Lisin is taking Avery’s place. He is not “engaged” enough. Have no idea what that means.
So much for seeing him on the fourth line.

he’s not engaged enough because he doesn’t see the ice enough.
we’ll see how this benching works out, I mean, it worked so well against Washington last year.

This is crazy. Avery needs minutes and a steady assignment, not a night off. Another example that Torts doesn’t have his finger on the pulse of this team.
But by all means, keep dressing Redden.

Lisin isn’t good at hockey.
This move, and all the moves like it that have happened over the past year, is the reason this coaching staff is failing.
If they cannot evaluate the talent they have, they cannot possibly succeed with anything short of the Canadian Olympic hockey team.

And just think, the Rangers could have had Travis Zajac instead of Enver Lisin (Rangers traded up to get Lauri Korpikoski, who was traded for Lisin).
