Grachev Recalled (April Fools!)
Update 11:00am: Yes ladies and gents, this was an April Fools joke. It got several retweets on Twitter, so I consider it a success.
The long wait is over. The Rangers have called up much hyped prospect Evgeny Grachev. Grachev, who is noticeably struggling in the AHL, is a bit of a surprise call up by Glen Sather and company. Many people view Grachev as a savior of sorts, a kid who can come to the NHL and put up a point per game without even batting an eye. His stats at Hartford are currently an eyesore, and those who have watched him play are not impressed thus far.
The Rangers must really be desperate for offense if they are calling on a 19 year old kid who clearly needs another year in the NHL.

If this is an April Fool’s joke, it’s one of the best I’ve seen, largely because it wouldn’t surprise me given the leadership decisions in New York.
