Valiquette Signs with CSKA Moscow
Steve Valiquette’s run with the Rangers organization has come to an end. The 32 year old goalie has signed with CSKA Moscow of the KHL, according to Dmitry Chesnokov. Valliquette served as the Rangers backup goaltender for the past two years, but has been with the organization since before the lockout. Best of luck to Vally in the KHL.

expected wasnt it. Im not surprised he’s gone back to where he’s had previous success (russia). He’ll make more money there than he will in the NHL so good luck to him.

It’s unfortunate his game disappeared last season, I always liked him. I did go to his last good performance and shutout against Anaheim in October though.

im already looking forward to coming over from the UK for a game or two early next season. Once i see the schedule i can plan for a homestand accordingly!! the last game i went to was way back in 09 when we beat the caps 5-4 in a shootout when Korpikoski(!) had a 1+1 and Brashear got beaten up by Orr!
