Preview: The Rangers stole a win in Vancouver. And by “the Rangers,” I mean Henrik Lundqvist. They won’t be that lucky in Calgary. The Flames appear to be having trouble scoring, with just 13 goals in five games. They do, however, play decent defense, with 15 goals allowed in those five games. This isn’t going to be a wide open game, it’ll be a grind it out and get garbage goals game. The key for the Rangers is again to stay out of the box, because sooner or later, a team is going to light them up. The Rangers also need a powerplay goal, as they have started the season 0-for-16. Special teams play is going to be crucial for two teams that play a similar style.

Crazy Thought: Newbury scores.

Prediction: I think the Rangers ride the momentum from stealing a game on Tuesday: Rangers 4, Flames 2.

Today’s game is on at 9:30pm on MSG and on AM1130 (Bloomberg Radio).
