Last night, in a relatively rare televised NCAA game that featured two Ranger prospects, Steven Fogarty’s Notre Dame Fighting Irish bested Boo Nieves’ Michigan Wolverines by a score of 3-1. Both Nieves and Fogarty were held scoreless, but Nieves was on the ice for two of the Irish goals. Both teams will play again tonight in the second game of their back-to-back series.

In Sweden, Oscar Lindberg continued his scoring ways, adding another assist to his totals (8-13-21) in Skellefteå AIK’s 3-2 win. Jesper Fast (SEL, HV71) did not dress, as he is still nursing an injury.

Other prospects in action were Calle Andersson (SEL) and Peter Ceresnak (OHL), both were held scoreless.
